<p>All about Khephren Thuram: "Juve, you are in my dad's heart: I want to win in black and white and with France"</p>

The Juventus midfielder talks about himself: Turin, art, his relationship with the fans and his ambitions with the club and the national team
Khephren Thuram on and off the pitch. The Juventus midfielder, who will soon be involved in the Club World Cup , opened up on the official YouTube channel of Serie A , telling his story as a person, as a footballer and also as an inhabitant of Turin, the city where he lived as a child and which welcomed him back, as a Juventus player. And it is precisely in the streets of Turin that the interview takes place, a chat in which he obviously does not forget the sensations experienced in the 'Old Lady' (a club that has remained in the heart of his father Lilian and the objectives he wants to achieve at Juventus. Football, culture, life: Thuram speaks.
The midfielder begins: " Football, for me, is... it's something magnificent. I think there are people who can express themselves by writing poetry. There are others who express themselves with music. And I think my way of expressing myself is going on the pitch: playing, running. It's a way of showing who I am, without actually speaking. And I think that for me football is just that, a way of expressing myself. Then, I started quite early because I went to watch my father train. I was with my brother. We've always played football since we were little: we have an exceptional relationship, we get along very well and I think it's thanks to our parents . "
And again on his brother Marcus: " When we were little we always tried to be together, now we are grown up and we play against each other in the league: it's a dream come true. Really, I couldn't have dreamed better, and playing in my father's club is something very beautiful, because I see that it really is perhaps a club... the club of his heart . He asks me every time to respect the team crest, to respect the fans and to give my all when I play for this club ."
The story continues and moves to the city of Turin: " I was born in Italy, I lived here for the first five years of my life, but I still feel more French. I grew up with a French culture, French parents. I remember that we lived in a park, where I went to play with my brother: we had a lot of fun. I remember a bit of school, what I ate: I really liked focaccia when I was little, I'm happy to return to this city. It brings back the few things I experienced here. It's nice to see some sides of the city that you don't see every day because you don't necessarily live on one side. And really, this makes you want to win trophies with this city ". And speaking of cities, Turin is not only famous for football: " It certainly represents one of the most important cities in the world for the automotive sector ".
He then adds: " Yes, there is a parallel between the world of cars and the world of football, because there are people who are there to build a car and obviously afterwards you see the performance of the car; in football there are people who are not very visible in the club who are there to help us perform for the weekend. We try to be physically well, let's say that the physique is a bit like the engine of the car , but as I said there are many people who help us to be at our best for the day of the match and I think that's my way of seeing it. You know that Turin is a very special city, that knows a lot about cars, and everything that concerns performance. And I think that this also reflects the club, which is a very big club, the biggest club in Italy: it can make me grow both from a sporting and a human point of view, it seeks excellence in every season ."
Thuram lives the city, also meeting many Juventus supporters: " I have a good relationship with the fans, because they love their club and I think that's great: here in the city you can really feel the love for football. I'm not saying that in other places I've been, they didn't love it, but here they feel it more. People, when I go out, talk to me about football: when we win they are happy, when we lose I feel that they are a bit irritated and they talk to me about the defeat. This is really a city that breathes football: that's what I feel and it's a city that loves its players a lot ". Thuram also underlines how he likes to experience Turin: " When I have some free time I like to walk around the city a bit. I don't do it often, but I like to go to Via Roma and Piazza San Carlo, where there are a few shops. I like to walk there because I like the architecture. Sometimes there are a few people, but they really leave me quite calm, so I can walk peacefully and do what I have to do ".
In the meantime, during the interview, the Frenchman moves to another place that is anything but banal: " Here we are in the Agnelli company. Before there were paintings and it was a museum, it was a place where Fiat cars were tested, and now it has become a museum. The Agnelli family donated most of their paintings to this museum to make it capable of hosting beautiful works of art like these. And if I'm not mistaken, this painter is a French painter, Henri Matisse. I really like art: it's important to discover artists, to discover their way of seeing through painting. And often, it can also tell the story of a city, of a country. It's important for our general culture ."
An inevitable conclusion on football: " I would say that my favourite moment of the week is match time. I really like match time because we have prepared all week to get to the match and it's a bit like our 'exam' . That's when we can play in front of our fans, we can earn points. How do I prepare? It's quite simple: I listen to some music, I talk to my brother before the match, I talk to some friends, I try to relax and think about something else a bit. As soon as I enter the dressing room I try to be 100% focused on what I have to do . "
Finally on the goals with Juve and France: " What I would like to do in my career in the short or long term is to always improve. I think I'm a guy who always tries to improve himself, improve his strengths and weaknesses: that's what I will try to do until the end of my career. And obviously with Juve! I hope to win titles, because as they often say here when you're at Juve you're here to win. It's the same thing in the national team: in the French team there are many great players, so I hope to be part of the national team and win with both, Juventus and France ".
